The Williamsville Eatery is a place to gather and relax with friends and neighbors around quality regional food and drinks, in a beautiful former general store, rich with history.
The restaurant is fortunate to be surrounded by small-scale farms, a position that inspires support for local producers by using as much of their produce, meats, grains and beverages as possible. By no means is this commitment to regional food, economy and community a unique vision — they are values that are gaining momentum country- wide, especially here in Vermont. It’s within this larger framework that Williamsville Eatery is excited to engage with and contribute to this movement in the community of Williamsville. The Williamsville Eatery offers tasty, wholesome, and uncomplicated food and drinks in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Whether alone, with your sweetie, or with friends and family, you’ll be in good company at the Williamsville Eatery. A proud recipient of the Slow Food Vermont Snail of Approval.
Prior to 2007, the Williamsville Store had been one of the longest continually run general stores in Vermont, dating back to 1828. In 2013, the opportunity arose for a new restaurant to lease the beautiful building and spearhead the Williamsville Eatery. Despite being a departure from its general store roots, the goal is to re-establish this building as a focal point within the community. After more than a year of planning, design, and renovation, the first meals were served in early July, 2014.
